INTD 2222 - Lighting Design and Specifications


Prerequisite: INTD 2211 , INTD 2215  or consent of the instructor This course surveys the use of lighting, both natural and artificial, as a design element in the interior environment. The impacts of perception, psychology, brightness, daylight, and color on lighting design are explored. Electricity and electrical distribution systems, luminaires, lighting sources, auxiliary equipment, light control, photometrics, and energy efficiency are covered in detail. 3 credits
