DHYG 4468 - Dental Hygiene Senior Project

Prerequisites: senior standing, DHYG 4463,or consent of the program director. This course provides the student with the opportunity to enrich their knowledge by designing, implementing, and presenting an individual or team-based project. The project and its deliverables serve to address the needs of a particular dental health or healthcare organization/population or contribute to the academic knowledge of the dental hygiene profession. The course requirements include the team or individual's presentation of a written and oral report that describes a problem, outlines how the problem was addressed, and presents viable solutions. All previous and current coursework will assist the student in this culminating senior capstone experience. 3 credits.
