CSYS 4497 - Capstone Network Analysis and Design

Prerequisite or co-requisite: CSCI 4482 . This course builds the conceptual foundation and design for the Capstone Network Project.   Together with the follow-up course (CSYS 4498 ), this is a year-long, comprehensive, design-oriented network architecture course, in which students integrate all their prior knowledge and skills to build an end-to-end data network architecture. This course will show how different parts of the network are interconnected and how they work in relation to one another. It will also cover client interaction, proposal writing, and top-down design approaches over a wide range of design topics in an enterprise server and network environment and a service provider's backbone network environment. 3 credits.
