BANL 2200 - Introduction to Business Analytics II


Prerequisite: BANL 1100 . A practical, hands-on course in business analytics. It is intended to introduce the student to the quantitative and computational methods commonly used across the various business domains. The aim is to survey the field rather than engage any one area in-depth. The mix of topics includes data wrangling, statistical inference, and introduction to predictive modeling including classification analysis. Through a combination of data-intensive exercises, guest lectures by practitioners and experts, this course provides an overview of the key concepts, skills, and methods used in the field of business analytics. The course materials, assignments, and project will all be prepared using the R programming language. 3 credits.
