EASC 4420 - Entrepreneurial Concepts for Engineers and Scientists


Prerequisite: junior standing or consent of the instructor. An engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset uses his/her curiosity to identify market opportunities and to develop innovative ideas that return value. This course fosters that mindset and couples it with the business, finance, and marketing knowledge and skills needed to achieve your goals. This course covers the entrepreneurial process from the conception of an idea to the formation of a new business with major emphasis on technology entrepreneurship. In this course, students will learn to identify differentiated ideas, describe the potential for value creation, and communicate their vision to stakeholders. 3 credits.
