EC 380 - Sustainable Development Prerequisite: EC 134 An introduction to current topics and debates in sustainable development. Examines the impact of economic development upon natural resources and biodiversity. Methods for assembling and appraising empirical evidence and estimating costs and benefits of reducing carbon emissions. Examines concerns over development and issues such as hunger, food supplies, human rights, life expectancy, and poverty. Government policies in developing countries and their implications for sustainable development. 3 credits
