CO 300 - Persuasion in Communication


Prerequisite: CO 100 . Examination of the use and misuse of persuasive communication in society. The effects and ethical dilemmas of compliance-gaining strategies in interpersonal, public, and mass communication contexts. Analysis of classical persuasion theories and contemporary theories of attitude change. Students develop, present, and analyze persuasive messages. 3 credits
