PSYC 6660 - Contemporary Issues in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Prerequisite: 12 hours in psychology or consent of the instructor. In-depth investigation of topical areas of concern in industrial/organizational psychology. Topics may include, but are not limited to, the impact of EEOC regulations on selection and promotion; assessment centers; the role of the consultant in organizations; flextime, day care, and other strategies to accomodate family needs of employees; stress in work settings; women in management. Content will be stated at the time the course is scheduled. Students may petition for a particular topic they feel would fit their academic goals. May be taken twice. 3 credit hours.
