Healthcare Administration

This program of study, leading to the master of science degree, gives students the best possible preparation for careers in healthcare administration. The healthcare field is unique in that it functions in a highly regulated yet highly competitive environment. The core courses in this degree program provide students with an appreciation of the past and present in healthcare administration along with preparation for the future.

The mission of the master of science in healthcare administration program is to provide competency-based, graduate-level education in healthcare management that prepares you for early- to mid-level management positions in the global healthcare workforce.  The program endeavors to be nationally ranked among healthcare administration programs, be the program of choice for the Southern New England healthcare community, and be recognized by our peers, our alumni, and prospective employers.

Graduates of the master of science in healthcare administration program have a proven track record of creating successful careers in healthcare. Some decide to immediately enter the workforce while others pursue administrative fellowship programs or doctoral programs in public health, business, or healthcare management.

Admission Criteria and Application Materials

No GRE or GMAT score is required to apply to the master of science in healthcare administration program.

  • 3.0 undergraduate GPA or higher from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • 250-word statement of purpose
  • 2 letters of recommendation (professional or academic references only)
  • Current resume or CV
  • Current TOEFL or other language exam score (if non-native English speaker)
