The criminal justice program at the University of New Haven provides students with a basic understanding of criminal justice. The goal of the program is to prepare students for professional careers in criminal justice, public service, and social service organizations, as well as for future study in undergraduate programs in criminal justice or related fields.
Students earning the A.S. degree in criminal justice are required to complete at least 60 credits, including 21 credits of core curriculum.
Demonstrate the knowledge of theory, methods, and empirical findings related to issues of police, correction, and courts.
Communicate criminal justice concepts orally and in writing.
