MPMA 6612 - Global Change

Prerequisite: MPMA 6601. This course introduces students to the primary drivers of global environmental change affecting the planet and the challenges associated with these changes. The approach is multidisciplinary and addresses the whole complexity of climate change as an issue, by bringing together the science, impacts, economics, abatement technologies, and policy solutions into one course. A solid understanding of how climatic and environmental variability influences the vulnerability of coastal societies in the past, present and future will be emphasized. 3 credits.
