APFS 6220 - Laboratory Residency Prerequisites: APFS 6201 , APFS 6202 , APFS 6203 . This residency is the culmination of the other modules in the Applied Forensic Science Laboratory Certificate program. During the residency students will take what they learned and use it in a 'real world' scenario. Students will be responsible for synthesizing the information and conducting an analysis from a mock crime scene. This will include which instrumentation could be used on specific types of evidence and how the results can be used in an investigation. The residency will be 40 contact hours over the course of two weeks at the Source Certain International Wangara facility. Note: Only non-U.S. students residing outside of the United States *and* enrolled in the Master of Science in Applied Forensic Science program are eligible to register. 3 credits.
