Prerequisites: CJST 1100 , CJST 2208 . Acquaints students with the major developments and trends of policing in a free society. Emphasis placed on American police and the role of the police in a democracy. Further emphasis placed on the examination of the interactions between the police and the communities they serve. 3 credits.
