PSYC 3380 - Qualitative Research Methods Prerequisite: any Competency 7, Tier 1 course from the University Core Curriculum. This course introduces the use of non-mathematical data and its application in conducting social scientific research. Students will learn how to conduct their own research projects using methods including interviews, focus groups, participant observation, and content analysis. Topics include the logic of qualitative approaches to research, ethical considerations, topic selection and research design, data collection, and analysis. 3 credits.
