ITAL 4410 - Italian Literature of Migration

Prerequisite: 2000-level ITAL course or testing placement. Through various media this course explores the topic of migration to and from Italy from the late nineteenth century to our period. The concept of Italianness is the main theme, which connects all material studied in this course and that we will analyze from a linguistic, ethnic, and cultural point of view. The course is in English but students minoring in Italian will perform selected written and oral activities in Italian. 3 credits.
