PARA 2230 - Anatomy and Physiology for Paramedicine I


Prerequisite: a grade of C or better in BIOL 1121  or BIOL 2253 . This course is the first part of a two-course sequence designed to integrate the study of the structure and function of the human body. With emphasis on systems and regulation of physiologic functions, this course studies the role of cells, tissues, and organs of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and special senses systems in maintaining homeostasis and responding to its disruption by disease. Course includes laboratory activities to reinforce conceptual elements. 4 credits.
