ILLU 1100 - Introduction to Illustration

Illustration majors must earn a minimum grade of C- in this course to receive credit within their major. This class will explore drawing as a means of thought and communication. Specified problems in ideation, graphic interpretation, and visual semantics. Projects emphasize a variety of illustrative approaches, craft, and mastery of tools. In keeping with its credit structure, a minimum of nine weekly hours of students' time (including class meeting hours) are expected to be devoted to fulfilling course requirements. 3 credits.
