MARA 1103 - Field Practices in Marine Affairs

Prerequisite: MARA 1101. In this course, students learn and practice data collection techniques that are common in the field of marine affairs such as ethnographic approaches, interviews, oral histories, and different unobtrusive methods of data collection. This course gives students the opportunity to apply their knowledge of marine affairs theory and research in practical situations in the field. Students also explore different methods of data presentation and communication of findings to a diverse audience. 3 credits.
