PSYC 3318 - The Cognitive and Social-Behavioral Effects of Gaming


Prerequisite: PSYC 1111  or PSYC 1112 .  This course will introduce existing research on the cognitive, neurological, and social impact of interactive video game play. Topics include: attention, visuospatial reasoning, cognitive load, reward processing and the limbic system, experience dependent plasticity, e-community building in the gaming world, age and gender differences, and video games as 'digital medicine'. 3 credits.
