HLTH 2400 - Introduction to Communication Disorders


This course will introduce students to the theories and practices in the profession of speech-language pathologists. Students in the course will learn about assessment, application of diagnostic information, intervention planning, and the process for executing interventions. Students will also gain an understanding of the role of a speech-language pathologist on a care team, including professional rule of conduct, and will be introduced to teamwork skill-building. 3 credits.
