INSE 1135 - Practice and Experiences

Prerequisite: MATH 1110. Introduction and exposure to the field and practice of industrial and systems engineering. Introducing key topics including systems thinking, roles in manufacturing, service and healthcare industries, supply chain, value engineering and costing, process design, process improvement, quality function and management, human/machine interaction and ergonomics. Guest lectures, field trips, plant tours and team project. 2 credits.
