PSYC 2237 - Stress and Stress Management Prerequisite: PSYC 1111 or PSYC 1112 . This course provides an understanding of stress through a research as well as an applied perspective. It will discuss the physiological effects of stress, the nature of stress within multiple contexts, and the causes of stress from a variety of theoretical and practice-based perspectives. Topics will include stress in relation to health, communication, relationships, academic performance, and work performance. Additionally, this class will work on implementing coping strategies and stress management techniques for use within the personal and professional arenas. 3 credits.
