MUSC 1113 - Western Art Music


Prerequisite: student must be a declared major in Music, Music Industry, or Music and Sound Recording. A historical survey of the major styles, forms, composers, and works at the foundation of Western art music. Students will develop active listening skills and gain familiarity with core repertoire from the Middle Ages through the 20th century. Coursework will focus on learning and applying musical terminology associated with each era of music history. This course is intended for students majoring in music.  3 credits.
