CJST 3354 - Micro Applications of Critical Criminology Prerequisite: CJST 3340 . This course teaches students to critically analyze why race-, class-, and gender-based disparities continue to exist within policing, in the courts, and in corrections, using critical criminology frameworks that are often excluded from mainstream criminological thought. This course examines various impacts of social harm (both human suffering and environmental degradation) as injustices provoked and reinforced within social, political, and economic systems. 3 credits.
