BIOM 6645 - Introduction to Biomedical Engineering Modeling The objective of this course is to introduce concepts of modeling biomedical engineering phenomena. Engineering mathematics tools, as foundation for modeling, will be studied and their applications to the modeling of and the predictive analyses of phenomena such as kidney filtration function, drug diffusion, heat transfer in tissue, and tissue deformation will be explored. Software such as MATLAB will be used to assist modeling and problem solving. 3 credits.
