Prerequisite: CHEM 4413. This course builds upon the fundamental theories and applications of curriculum, instruction, and assessment presented in Principles of Chemistry Education I. The greatest emphasis in this course will be placed on the instructional aspects. Students will develop curriculum units and present lesson plans using a variety of pedagogical techniques. The logistics of how to approach a lecture or lab course will be thoroughly examined. This course also focuses on how the chemistry lab can be used in conjunction with the lecture to enrich the overall chemistry course experience. 3 credits.
