FORS 6603 - Forensic Genetic Genealogy Practicum This practicum course provides students with the opportunity to apply their forensic genetic genealogy knowledge to real-world problems. The student may undertake an internship with one of our industry partners, or complete a mock case investigation, or a genetic genealogy research project. The student will prepare a written proposal for a genetic genealogy investigation. The student will then carry out the investigation using the appropriate methods and standards learned in the previous courses. Upon completion of the investigation the student will submit a fully comprehensive investigation report detailing the methods used, appropriate citations and records obtained, family trees built, and reasoning for findings and outcomes obtained. 3 credits.
