ELEC 6101 - Autonomous Vehicles I: Modeling, Perception, and State Estimation The course will cover the theory and application of autonomous mobile robotics with particular emphasis on their application in the context of self-driving vehicles. Topics include state estimation and decision making, stochastic representations of the environment, dynamic and sensor models, foundations of deep learning for perception and sensing, algorithms for mapping and localization, and planning and control in the presence of uncertainty. Backgrounds in control systems and Python programming is preferred. 3 credits.
