ENVS 6011 - Scientific Literature and Proposal Writing This course will introduce students to evaluating scientific literature and the process of writing research proposals. During this course, students will learn how to read and evaluate peer-reviewed scientific papers and develop strategies to conduct effective literature reviews. All steps in the process of proposal writing will be addressed, as students will design research projects, generate hypotheses, develop schedules and budgets, and participate in peer review. By the completion of the course, students will have created a research proposal that may be refined and submitted for ENVS 6690 Research Project or ENVS 6698 Thesis I. 3 credits.
