INFS 6601 - Foundation of Information Science This course is an introduction to foundational concepts and theories, principles, and models of information science. Students will be introduced to the history and nature of the discipline. Topics such as information policy, information literacy, information behavior, and the role of information in society will be covered. The evolution and scope of the information professions and their central issues, values, and ethical frameworks including information ethics will be examined. 3 credits.
