DSGN 6602 - Utility and Usability: Human-Centered Design & Prototyping This course provides an overview and introduction to human-centered design. The nature of human-machine interactions will be studied with an emphasis on improving UX for accessibility and inclusivity. Students will learn how to use prototypes to explore, test, and communicate design ideas. Students will be introduced to principles of design and usability, with a focus on digital experiences. The goal of the course is to prepare students so they may present their prototypes and study them through a more human-centered design lens. 3 credits.
