CE 614 - Surface Water Quality Management

Prerequisite: CE 620 Determination of controls that must be instituted to achieve specific water quality objectives. Waste load allocation as principal management tool, requiring knowledge of response of a system to waste load inputs. Input/response relationships for three different surface water sytems: rivers and streams, lakes, estruaries. Related topics: dissolved oxygen analysis, indicator bacteria, and eutrophication.
