ARTS 4512 - Community-Engaged Art

Prerequisite: ARTS 3331 . In this course students will identify who their community is, explore effective engagement strategies, and design projects which respond to their interests and concerns. Students will hear directly from community-engaged practitioners, attend public art tours, and learn how to identify the resources and supports to make projects possible. Students will write proposals, budgets, and work directly in and with public audiences. Laboratory fee; 3 credits.
