AIML 3330 - Human-AI Interaction


Prerequisites: AIML 3310 . Prerequisites or Co-requisites: AIML 3320 .  Design and evaluation of AI systems from a human-centered perspective. Topics include user-centered design principles for AI, mental models of AI systems, designing for transparency and trust, explainable AI techniques, accessibility considerations, and methods for evaluating AI user experiences. Students analyze existing AI interfaces, design interaction patterns for AI-powered applications, implement explainability features, and conduct usability evaluations. Emphasis is on creating AI systems that augment human capabilities while remaining intuitive and accountable.  3 credits.
