AIML 3340 - Intro to Natural Language Processing Prerequisites: DSCI 3212 and AIML 3310 . This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Natural Language Processing (NLP), covering fundamental concepts, algorithms, and modern deep learning approaches for processing and understanding human language. Students will learn both theoretical foundations and practical implementation skills, progressing from classical methods to state-of-the-art transformer architectures. The course emphasizes hands-on experience with real-world NLP tasks and applications. 3 credits.
