AIML 6002 - Engineering AI-Enabled Systems


Prerequisites: DSCI 6001 DSCI 6602 . This course offers a broad, hands-on introduction to foundational AI techniques and applications, tailored for students with a limited background in AI-specific topics. The course covers core AI domains, including machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), time-series analysis, and reinforcement learning, with an emphasis on large language models (LLMs) in NLP applications. Through practical projects and case studies, students will learn how AI systems are designed, developed, evaluated, and deployed in real-world settings. Ethical considerations and responsible AI practices are also emphasized to foster a comprehensive understanding of the broader implications of AI technologies. 3 credits.
