DH 220 - Dental Hygiene Concepts I with Lab

Prerequisites: sophomore standing in the dental hygiene clinical course sequence. DH 220 is the first in a series of clinical courses; it provides the foundations of clinical dental hygiene practice. The course focuses on professionalism, ethical decision-making principles, infection control, risk assessment, prevention of gingival and periodontal diseases, and development of the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills necessary for the delivery of comprehensive dental hygiene care.
