ENVS 6615 - Toxicology


Prerequisite: introductory chemistry. Introduction to environmental and industrial toxicology; toxicologic evaluation; the mode of entry, absorption, and distribution of toxicants; the metabolism and excretion of toxic substances; interactions between substances in toxicology; toxicologic data extrapolation; particulates; solvents and metals; agricultural chemicals - insecticides and pesticides; toxicology of plastics; gases; food additives; plant and animal toxins; carcinogens, mutagens, and teratogens.
