HUMN 3300 - Nature of Science

Prerequisites: ENGL 1110, HIST 1102, a laboratory science course, and a social science course. Investigates science as a human activity, as a social institution, and as an instrument for acquiring and using knowledge. The nature of scientific knowledge, the organization of scientific activity, and the interaction of science with technology and culture. A course about science and the process of generating new knowledge. 3 credits
