CHEM 6606 - Modern Organic Synthetic Methods Prerequisite: CHEM 6605 or equivalent or consent of instructor. A survey and discussion of methods. Some of the topics covered are synthetic strategies, including computer-generated strategies, asymmetric syntheses, oxidation, reduction, stereocontrol and ring formation, protecting groups, nucleophilic and electrophilic species that form carbon-carbon bonds, and some complex molecules. 3 credit hours.
