MATH 2227 - Mathematics for Elementary Ed Teachers Prerequisite: MATH 1109 or MATH 1127 or placement by the department (not open to Math majors) From the point of view of a teacher, this is a review of the mathematics topics covered in elementary school and it covers the mathematical underpinnings of such topics as whole numbers, fractions, number theory, geometry, and measurement. Problem solving will be an underlying theme to the course. Not open to math majors. 3 credits
