ELEC 4450 - Analog Filter Design Prerequisites: ELEC 2235 , ELEC 3302 . Techniques in the analysis and design of analog filters. First order and second order. Design of Butterworth, Chebyshev, Bessel-Thomson, and Cauer low-pass. Low-pass to band-pass, band-stop and high-pass filter transformations, design, and sensitivity analysis. lectures are supplemented by computer simulations to reinforce concepts covered in the course. Students are expected to prototype analog filters using various topologies. 3 credits
