Students earning a B.A. degree in communication with a concentration in journalism will build specialized knowledge and skills related to journalism across a variety of platforms and formats in addition to a solid grounding in communication fundamentals. Through coursework emphasizing writing and production, as well as real world fieldwork opportunities, students will learn to become competent and well-rounded journalism professionals.
Students earning a B.S. degree in communication with a concentration in journalism are required to complete a total of 121 credits as follows.

- CC 8.2: Global and Intercultural Awareness
- CC 9.2: Perspectives on Creative Arts
