Candidates are required to complete 42 credits of graduate work over a period of four semesters. Transfer of credit from other institutions may be permitted subject to the graduate policy on transfer credit detailed elsewhere in this catalog.

 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

1. Students can demonstrate proficiency in the proper use of various instruments, equipment, or technical procedures.

2. Students recognize and identify common forms of physical and pattern evidence, and can properly interpret related examinations of this evidence.

3. Students can describe major ethical and professional guidelines and principles.

 

Thesis

The MS Forensic Science requires students to write a research-based, publication-quality thesis. The thesis must show an ability to organize material in a clear and original manner and to present well-reasoned conclusions. Thesis preparation and submission must comply with the graduate policy on theses as well as specific departmental requirements.
