This program requires the completion of 121 credits and is designed to provide students the ability to explore and combine aspects of the theoretical foundations of national security, intelligence, international affairs, and homeland security. Students will develop a working knowledge of the most prominent features of the global security construct with an emphasis on the United States' national security enterprise. The program will examine the components of national security as it ranges from security policy, development, and operations.
Program Outcomes
Students in this program will:
1. Describe how United States national security and defense policy has evolved and functioned, including the capabilities and activities of related security agencies.
2. Analyze the efficacy of defense policy across multiple domains including diplomacy, economics, and military power.
3. Formulate potential policy solutions to address contemporary national security threats and objectives.
4. Outline the various means by which national security agencies support principle decision-makers.
