A total of 78 graduate credits is required for completion of the three-year track of the master of science in speech-language pathology. The three-year track M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology will provide students with foundational courses in communication disorders. This track aims to grant students the opportunity to develop knowledge of typical speech and language. At the graduate level, students will develop knowledge and skills to help patients of all ages with communication disorders. Students will have hands-on learning experiences in a wide range of practice settings. The program consists of seven semesters of full-time on-site and hybrid graduate coursework in the sciences, social sciences, and clinical skills.
Program Outcomes:
- Evaluate concepts of prevention, assessment and intervention of swallowing, speech, language and hearing disorders.
- Synthesize evidence-based information for clinical practice in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Apply professional communication skills through peer collaboration.
- Integrate principles of cultural competence and ethical behavior.
