Esport and Digital Game Management Minor

Requirements for Minors

  • At least 50% of the minor courses must be unduplicated, i.e., not used to simultaneously satisfy credit requirements of the major, core curriculum, or additional minors.
  • At least 50% of the minor courses must be completed in residence at UNH.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in the minor (programs may set higher requirements).
  • A student may not declare a major and minor in the same program.

The digital game and esport ecosystem is one of the fastest-growing industries worldwide, encompassing a diverse range of segments, including game development, esports operations, game publishing, digital marketing, and event management. Every segment of the ecosystem, every organization within it, and every position requires skilled professionals with business acumen, industry-specific knowledge, and management expertise.

This minor offers students an opportunity to explore key topics in the esport and digital gaming industries. Students will begin with two foundational courses introducing various segments and functional areas within the esport and digital game industries and follow up with electives targeting their interest areas, such as game monetization, esport, global landscape, regulatory environments, and esports operations. The minor in Esport and Digital Game Management consists of 15 undergraduate credits.

By the completion of the minor, students will be able to:

  • apply fundamental business concepts to industry-specific scenarios that drive innovation and growth in esport and digital gaming.
