B.S., Fire Science
The bachelor of science in fire science is offered with a choice of three concentrations to allow the student to major in fire science and specialize in an area of interest. The concentration areas are fire/arson investigation, fire administration, and fire science technology. Required Courses
Students earning the B.S. degree in fire science are required to complete at least 122 credits including the University Core Curriculum and the common courses for fire science listed below, some of which fulfill requirements of the University Core Curriculum. Concentration in Fire Administration
This concentration prepares students for careers in municipal, private, or industrial fire departments. The curriculum provides the educational background to advance through the ranks and become the future leaders of the fire service. Students earning the B.S. degree in fire science with a concentration in fire administration must complete a minimum of 122 credits including the University Core Curriculum, the common courses for fire science majors listed above, and the courses listed below, some of which fulfill requirements of the University Core Curriculum. |
