Foreign Language Teaching Certificate

This certificate will serve a wide variety of instructors of foreign languages. Especially in the college context, there is a growing reliance on adjunct faculty who are native speakers of foreign languages who are required to have formal training in the instruction of their languages. Moreover, non-native language adjuncts or instructors can enhance and update their teaching by taking graduate courses in the field and at times are periodically required to do so. The certificate distinguishes itself by its comprehensive exploration of essential, practical, and innovative knowledge and skills. The program is offered by the Global Studies program and consists of three courses (12 credits).
