English, Literature Concentration, B.A.

B.A., English

Thirty credits in English beyond the first year writing courses are required for a major in English.  Students completing a B.A. in English must complete the University Core Curriculum, the English Core, and the requirements for one of the concentrations in English (concentration in literature or concentration in writing).

English Core

15 credits

These courses develop foundational knowledge and skills and provide context for literary periods, cultures and genres.
 

Concentration in Literature

The literature concentration requires five additional literature courses, at least three of which are 3000-level or higher. 15 credits.
